Moment Triskelion a twst and CROOK moment [Synth Presets, WAV]

Celtic collaborators twst & CROOK are on interdimensional tear. The Wales-born twst is a digital enigma - their debut EP 'TWST0001' fused subversive songwriting with themes of online identity, surveillance and female empowerment, and featured remixes from Clams Casino, AmPm, and Hudson Mohawke. In 2024, their track 'Upgrade (CROOK's System Update)' became a breakout hit after it was DJ'd by Charli XCX at her 'BRAT' launch event. CROOK, of the aforementioned System Update, is an Irish producer and artist whose work combines the ancient and hyperreal. Having recently lent Irish folk influence to ELIO's latest album, and off-kilter melodies to Raissa and Rahim Redcar's 'No Genius', CROOK thrives on this kind of high-contrast, deeply collaborative work. His body is currently "in advanced Celtic cryo-stasis" so that he can complete "exocapitalist album-length projects" for twst (and others). 'Triskelion' refers to the neolithic triple spiral motif found in Celtic tradition, representing trinity: past, present, and future; spiritual, earthly, and celestial. Angelic vocals and folkloric harps marry euphoric club sounds - "We loved combining things that felt ancient with things from a possible future," the duo comments. The pack weaves experimental textures into the tapestry of modern pop songwriting, every melody smooth as silk. As fantastical as they are, the sounds are always in service of the song. "We made these sounds either because we needed them, or because they momentarily rewired our imagination to suggest the possibility of a whole song; a whole world."
