"Archiv Vol.1" is the latest output of Berlin based label FaceToFace Recordings. This edgy collection of carefully crafted loops and tools is written and produced by Berlin transplants: Tim Xavier :: Deepchild :: Lando :: Jamaica Suk. The pack contains over 600megs of towering bass drums, modular bass, essential chord stabs and analog sequences. But there's a twist; Not only was this unique collection of samples produced by the FIIF tribesmen on the finest analog modeling tools the industry has to offer, all sample material has been mastered and recorded through an audiophile signal chain, then dubbed/recorded onto a series of acetate dub-plates at 45rpm (high-resolution) via a perfectly calibrated Neumann VMS70 cutting lathe, recorded back to hard disc with a moving magnet Hi-Fi playback cartridge/stylus and re-maximized to achieve the analog coloring warmth produced by a vinyl recording.
