YBK Instrument Player Offers a Free License Until October 19

YBK Audio Instrument Player offers a free launch-month license through October 19, 2026. It is a standalone Windows host for VST3 instruments, allowing you to play your installed instruments without opening a DAW. The offer began on September 19 and is limited to one license per person.

The license terms matter. This is a perpetual license for versions released on or before October 19, 2026. Versions released later require a purchase, so the launch offer does not include free lifetime future upgrades.

Play your existing instruments

Instrument Player runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. It hosts VST3 instruments that are already installed on your computer. The player does not include those instruments, grant licenses for paid plugins, or make a third-party instrument free.

Its MIDI Replay feature captures the last five minutes of MIDI performance and can export the result as a .mid file. That gives you a way to keep a recent performance for subsequent use in a MIDI workflow.

One computer at a time

The launch license allows use on one computer at a time. It can be transferred to another computer, but that does not make it a simultaneous multi-machine license.

Before claiming the offer, check the deadline and which player version the license covers. The date applies to the free launch license and to the set of versions it entitles you to use, not to an expiry of those covered versions.

Visit the official YBK Audio Instrument Player page for the download and launch-license terms.

FAQ

Will my covered version stop working after October 19? The license is perpetual for versions released on or before October 19, 2026. Later versions require a purchase.

Does the free player include VST3 instruments? No. It hosts your own installed VST3 instruments on Windows 10/11.
