The York Audio FDMN 412 M25-V30 Cab Pack is based on a Friedman™ "Vintage" 4x12 cabinet loaded with the original Celestion™ G12M Greenback and Vintage 30 speakers. The cabinet's bulletproof construction and mismatched speaker pairing make it truly unique, and we've accurately captured every tonal nuance you'd expect to hear from a Friedman™. One word to describe this cabinet's sound is "BIG!" With bold low-mids and a prominent midrange, this cab's tone is the opposite of scooped and sounds fantastic for lead work and tones that heavily rely on a focussed midrange and a full low end. The Greenbacks offer great midrange with crisp and energetic attack while the Vintage 30s bring a thick low end, balanced midrange, and a slightly darker top end than what we typically expect to hear from a Vintage 30 while also displaying great clarity and complexity. Combining the two speakers offers the best of both worlds with body to fill the room and a top end that speaks in a full band mix. This is the largest impulse response library York Audio has ever created by essentially blending two full Cab Packs into a single product. Each speaker was given great attention and the full treatment with 12 mics, 126 single mic captures from each speaker, 16 M25 multi-mic mixes, 15 V30 multi-mic mixes, and 15 M25-V30 speaker blend multi-mic mixes for a grand total of 298 IRs in a single pack! But don't be intimidated by the number of files. The pack was designed for ease of use, and most users will never have to move outside of the Mixes folders to find the tone they're looking for.
