That Sound presents Iron Works by Dan Mayo, a virtuoso drummer, producer, and composer from Tel Aviv, Israel best known for his jaw-dropping work with the innovative power-trio TATRAN. For this pack, he went all in, performing all of the drum sounds that fit his tastes while allowing him to transcend space and time throughout the performance. He said, "I did whatever made me feel good and inspired with only one rule - if it makes me move uncontrollably and makes my face get twisted, it's going into the pack." Using iron toys and a bunch of oddly sized drums, he recorded raw, dirty beats and loops with a strong focus on sound design from five different setups: dirty, old room, basement, one mic, and popcorn. TATRAN, of which Mayo is a founding member, has gained extraordinary success and a massive loyal international following over the years while relentlessly touring around the globe and recording three albums. He has also collaborated with many artists and has played major stages such as Glastonbury Festival, Fusion Festival, and Metronome Festival.
