From delicate pizzicato droplets to full, vibrant layers, get the authentic timbres and textures of a string quartet made up of two violins, viola and cello. Created in collaboration with Spitfire Audio. Use strings at their most intimate with this collection of expressive multisampled instruments. These close-up string ensemble recordings work just as well as a source of natural strings or as a starting point for creative sound design. Work with a variety of note lengths and bowing techniques including bounced spiccato, soft and thin sul tasto, harmonic-heavy sul ponticello and tension-building tremolo. Use these playing styles individually, or blend them using the all-in-one instruments. The Pack also includes custom Max for Live devices for added realism, most notably with delicately tuned crossfade curves for the all-in-one instruments. Plus, a selection of MPE presets offers expressive articulation, letting you change each note's technique independently using an MPE controller. A selection of MIDI clips in different melodic styles and chord progressions can provide inspiration, start you on a creative path, or serve as the basis for experimentation. Requires Ableton Live 11.
