Course Outline In this 5-day course, you'll learn how to design and produce killer drum sounds that punch through the mix and sound massive on any sound system. During the first three days, instructor Nick Garcia will walk you through writing and producing top-notch drums for dance music through a combination of synthesis, sampling, and programming virtual drum machines. In the final two days, you'll learn how to mix drums for maximum impact. Topics in this course will include (but are not limited to) drum synthesis, drum sampling, equalization, compression, and even a little dance music history. Nick Garcia Nick Garcia is a producer and DJ from Washington DC currently residing in Los Angeles. A trained jazz musician, Nick creates a unique and complex amalgamation of sound and texture. Nick caught the ear of one of western Canada's premier underground house labels, Night Vision, in 2015, and has released numerous EP's and remixes from that moment forward on labels like Lifted Contingency, Sooo WET!, and PUZL Records.
