Transient Shaper plugins are great tools that can be used to methodically enhance or control different transients in instruments – especially drums. In this tutorial, Maxim will show you how to creatively use transient shapers beef up your drums and mixes. Working in Ableton Live, he'll start with a drum loop that doesn't quite cut though as much as he'd like. Using Smack Attack by Waves, he will add punch to the transients and enhance the overall power of the drum loop. Later in the video, Maxim will show how unconventional use of a transient shaper on the master channel can actually enhance the entire track and add a unique vibe to the overall sound.
