The Djembe, or "Yembe" in its traditional name, means "unity" and is considered the great musical "unifier" of all the African drums. This fundamental percussion instrument sits in the throne of most musical styles coming from West Africa and since have made its way to the heart of main stream music as its vastly used in funk, pop, soul and even rock music productions.
