The shell of Century Ensemble Brass is our custom-designed user-interface, offering virtually every option to express yourself. All simple. All on one page. Inside the shell, you will find the secret to Century Ensemble Brass: an exquisite collection of luxury virtual instruments, specifically designed for high-end, emotional realism. The Century Brass Sessions took place over two years, with hand-picked players from across Europe, over 700 hours of sessions, retakes, and even further retakes. Century Orchestral Brass was created with several new recording and sampling techniques. All the legatos are not only layered in dynamics, but also offer completely smooth transitions, even when playing polyphonic legato. We also recorded a wealth of different short notes, so much more than the typical staccatos and marcatos. We recorded unique fanfare oriented short notes, with more bite and tension as well as more traditional articulations at multiple lengths. There are more arcs than you could dream of, and of course all arcs are now dynamically layered and recorded at multiple lengths, featuring true polyphonic legato. Century Orchestral Brass is not a sample library to us. It is a truly emotional and realistic collection that is an ever-evolving, incredibly deep-sampled brass instrument. SEAMLESS EXPRESSION Century Brass 2.0 raises the bar for professional legato samples with the world's first true polyphonic legato. The polyphonic legato allows you to play as many notes as you want and have the engine trigger all the legato intervals. The legatos also allow you to move between dynamics seamlessly. The sound is truly authentic, dynamic, and lyrical. 5 MICROPHONE ARRAYS Century Brass 2.0 includes two new microphone mixes, with each instrument placed in traditional orchestral seating. Mix A is a gorgeous Stage Mix, and Mix B is a dedicated epic orchestral mix. We also give you full control to create your own custom stereo and 5.1 mixes using the original trio of microphones (Close, Decca, and Wide). ORCHESTRAL BRASS. But perhaps most importantly, it all just works. 2.0 UPDATE: WHAT'S NEW? - We have now updated our flagship brass series with a variety of enhancements to the internal mapping, patch variations and all-new mixes along with many other general improvements. - Century Brass 2.0 now includes two tailor-made "in place" mixes, with instruments situated in a traditional orchestral seating position. We expect most of our users will gravitate to using these new mixes for most purposes. Mix a is a focused balance, whereas mix b is broader and more ambient. Using varied mix options on different instruments can help increase the separation in your sound, which is a great way to bring specific instruments into the forefront of your productions. - We have also optimized the entire library, allowing for more advanced features and superior performance on a variety of workstations. The entire century brass collection now features our latest chaos effects, allowing you to customize the signal path and post-processing with over 140 impulse responses, stereo delays, eq and much more. - This latest update also includes individually available articulations as well as several extended options, such as our "poly-time" articulations. these allow you to play arcs at a speed that suits your composition, as well as fluently play these articulations in a legato style.
