Synth Presets Rock or Metal
Hey guys, a lot of people are asking me about the presets and tones I'm using. So I want to share some tones I use from the Archetype: Plan plugin. In this video you can hear an example of my lead tone.
In the attachment you'll find a Rhythm, Crunch, Solo, Clean and a Clean Solo preset I made.
Rhythm
: For the rhythm tone, I like it to be both chuggy and heavy yet transparent, especially during fast 16th note tremolo picking. That's why I don't use too much gain on it. However, I always place an overdrive pedal in front of it to make it sound massive.
Crunch
: I use this sound mostly for arpeggiated chords or when I want to play full, distorted chords. The crunch sound ensures that every single note in the chord is clearly audible.
Solo
: I prefer a smooth and warm tone for solos.
Clean
: I use this tone for chord parts and arpeggiated chords. I love the reverb on it.
Clean Solo
: I primarily use this tone for practicing and playing over Jazz Standards.
