The EV5050III is the latest evolution of the never ending tone chasing marathon that EVH was on during most of his career.
The SLDN SL100 can be considered its grandfather and the PV 5050 its father. It has a finer-grained and brighter and tighter character than the PV 5050 that lends itself well for more modern high gain tones.
It will effortlessly work really well for nice chugs as well as for quick solo runs.
