Rubicon Interzones [WAV]

New York-based, Monterrey-born producer Debit filters her multinational experience through an experimental reframing of Latin American culture and avant-garde electronics. Evoking a migratory existence and a new generation of cyber-punk aesthetics, Interzones echoes the tangled polyrhythms and disjointed Reggaeton of her productions for NAAFI and mixes for FADER and FACT. Swarming circuity and rattling percussion comprise the bulk of this Rubicon offering, while alien choirs and baroque melodies provide contrast. Analog was embraced with a digital sheen in the creation of these samples, designed with a Roland GAIA, Dave Smith Tempest, Buchla, and Sound Toys plugin suite.
