Recorded at his studio in Bamako, this pack features Garba's signature riffs and chord voicings, inspired by traditional West African music and American rock. Garba's electric trills and jagged melodies on Fender stratocaster and jazzmaster are complemented by gentle acoustic strums and hypnotic grooving. Garba Touré is a renowned songwriter and lead guitarist, who's band Songhoy Blues has released 3 acclaimed albums and collaborated with icons like Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz), Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Julian Casablances (The Strokes) and more. The son of Ali Farka Touré's longtime percussionist, Garba has toured extensively throughout Africa, Europe and North America. Garba was also featured in They Will Have To Kill Us First, an acclaimed documentary profiling musicians in Northern Mali in the wake of a jihadist takeover and subsequent banning of music in 2012.
