Sound Doctrine The City Choir [WAV]

Gospel has had choirs as the bedrock of its sound for years. Church choirs would be built from the many volunteers and members found within a church all coming together for the common goal of singing praises and worshiping God. In the late 80's and early 90's many gospel artists arose who were usually ministers of music and preachers in their respective churches forming recording choirs from the vocalists within their church and community. The music that arose was one that was sonically formed from the ethos and experience of church culture in the city. Artists like Reverend Timothy Wright, Reverend Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers ("The Tommies") and Douglas Miller are just a few inspirations for the pack that fit this description. This release features "Sunday's Best" finalist and recording artist Edward "Busta" Fields and his choir representing "Ambassador Seed of Love Church," located in the heart of North Philadelphia. We also were honored to once again have award winning producers and musicians Dana Sorey, Pudge Tribbett, Richard "Tubbs" Smith and Morgan Turner lay the foundation with music beds full of real instruments to use in your own production.
