VOX presents 'Vocal Botanica' Michael Bruner's exploration into a budding genre that weaves natural outdoor soundscapes with intelligent sampling techniques, uplifting chord progressions, and cute (but sometimes ugly) hyper pop vocals. Bruner's vocals span a panorama of emotions and recording experiments that germinated from the very real dynamics of living a minimal life on the outskirts of Bloomington, Indiana in a 22' camper. Bruner's approach to 'Botanica' or ('grass-type music') smears the line between conventional and DIY recording with this new pack, making an artistic statement while also encouraging us to embrace our imperfect, dirty, human existence that we cannot hide from – nor should we.
