Moment Seeds an Apu Nanu moment [WAV]

Athens-based artist and producer Apu Nanu draws inspiration from post-internet aesthetics, microtonal music, neoclassical themes, and video game nostalgia, mixing these elements with playful MIDI manipulation and collage-like sound design. They've collaborated with Galen Tipton, Holly Waxwing, and Estle, and in 2024 released their debut EP 'The Untold Saga' on the Polish label BFF Music, who describes it as a "modern classical, wonky, post-club symphony," with the same open-world divinity as golden-era Minecraft creative mode. 'Seeds :]' is an answer to the sacred emptiness of fertile ground, in domains both real and digital. Ghibli-like synth scores twist down narrow streams into off-limits territories, while behemoth basses are deconstructed down to their final artifacts. Music beds from a fairytale philharmonia are set against dystopian drums of death. It is both playful and cruel, narrative-rich, and caught between time.
