Omar Francis has been a fixture on the Kingston music scene for more than thirty years. From playing in backing bands at Reggae Sunsplash and Sumfest with some of the biggest Jamaican acts (Toots Hibbert, Barrington Levy or Ken Booth for example) to touring the world with reggae band Rootz Underground, there's not much of the reggae world that he hasn't seen or been part of. But a lifelong interest in jazz rock blues and other musics from all over the world has meant that he's never been comfortable staying in musical place.
