NI Guitar Rig 7 vs Player 2026: Full Rack vs Free Factory Selection

This Page Is Guitar Rig 7 Full vs Player. It Is Not a Guitar-Amp Roundup.

Stay here for Native Instruments Guitar Rig 7 Pro versus Guitar Rig 7 Player as a 2026 SKU split: what Player actually ships for free, what Pro’s page lists, price, formats, and where Komplete Start fits. Do not use this file as a best-free-amp-sim roundup, a Komplete 26 buyers’ guide, or a Neural DSP bake-off.

NI’s Guitar Rig 7 Player page is the free-SKU and Factory Selection primary. The Guitar Rig 7 Pro page is the full-rack primary. The comparison chart is the three-column checklist (Pro / LE / Player). The manual’s welcome page is the “same rack, reduced Components in Player” primary. Guitar World (7 September 2023) is the dated Pro launch note. This September 2026 page is that SKU pair—not a claim Guitar Rig 7 first shipped this year.^{[1][2][6][5][4]}

Amp-sim lists, Analog Obsession freebies, Saturn 2 saturation, and Komplete Start’s full inventory live on related slugs. Guitar Rig 7 LE is a middle column on NI’s chart—not this Player-versus-Pro file, and not the Komplete Start freebie.

Player Is Free (0). Pro List Is $199 / €199. Verify the Cart.

Player’s product card on this September 2026 fetch: Free download. Copy: free inspiration suite, great for building creative effects chains and recording guitar; includes Factory Selection plus 26 effects and tools. It is also included in Komplete Start. Komplete Start’s own page: no credit cards, no subscriptions; downloads through Native Access 2.^[1][7]

Pro’s US shop card on this fetch: $199.00. The EU/locale product card printed €199,00 and said logged-in Native Instruments owners might qualify for a better price. Guitar World’s 7 September 2023 launch note: $199 / £179 new, $99 / £89 upgrade. Those 2023 upgrade figures are a news-day pair, not a 2026 street-price law. Recheck native-instruments.com checkout while logged in.^[3][2][4]

Formats on both Player and Pro spec blocks this fetch: Windows 64-bit Stand-alone, VST3, AAX; macOS 64-bit Stand-alone, VST3, AU, AAX. OS: macOS 13, 14 or 15 (latest update), Intel i5+ or Apple Silicon (Rosetta 2 and native ARM in stand-alone or hosts that support it); Windows 10 or 11 (latest Service Pack), Intel Core i5 or equivalent, 4 GB RAM. Do not paste an older GR6 OS list onto GR7.^[1][2]

What Player’s Factory Selection Actually Names

Player is based on the Guitar Rig 7 Pro rack: drag-and-drop Components, MIDI Learn, automation, Live View, plus helpers NI names as Metronome, two Tape Decks, Tuner, Preset Volume, and Dry/Wet. The free content is Factory Selection, not the Pro library.^[1]

Named amps on that page: Fire Seeker (ICM) with Matched Cabinet Pro—hand-wired American boutique, metal through classic cleans. Jump with Matched Cabinet Pro—British-style smooth leads. Do not add Super Fast 100, Reverb Delight, AC Box XV, or Bass Rage to Player; those are Pro’s “New Amp Day” ICM quartet.^[1][2]

NI’s headline count is 26 effects and tools plus 60 presets. The page then tours named modules. That tour is not a complete 26-row inventory—do not invent the unnamed remainder. Cite the names NI prints; use the comparison chart for the rest.^[1][6]

• Reverbs and delays named Studio Reverb; Delay Man (chorus/vibrato); Twin Delay (two parallel delay modules, one per stereo side).^[1]
• Distortion, modulation, EQ/filter named Red Fuzz (ICM); Skreamer; Chorus/Flanger; EQ Parametric; EQ Shelving; Pro-Filter (from NI’s legacy Pro-53 synth).^[1]
• Dynamics, modifiers, routing named Supercharger; Limiter; Volume; Tube Compressor; Noise Gate; Noise Reduction; LFO; Envelope; Step Sequencer; Analog Sequencer; Input Level Modifier; Split; Crossover Mix; Container (eight macros). Sidechain inputs on several effects.^[1]

What Pro’s Page Adds: 26 Amps, 115 Tools, Looper, IR Loader

Player’s “Get more” block is the Pro pitch in NI’s own words: 26 amps each with matching cabinets, 115 effects and tools, a new looper and IR loader, and much more. Pro’s amps-and-cabinets section repeats the 26-amp count. Effects-and-tools section repeats 115. Do not merge those two numbers into one fake total.^[1][2]

Pro’s four new ICM amps: Super Fast 100, Reverb Delight, AC Box XV, Bass Rage—each with matching cabinet modules, Ownhammer and 3 Sigma Audio IRs, and a direct-to-room slider. Five new ICM pedals named on that page: Skreamer Deluxe, Chainsaw, IVP Stomp, Seattle Fuzz, plus ICM Kolor in the lo-fi block. Lo-fi quartet: Tape Wobble, Noise Machine, Vintage Vibrato, Kolor.^[2][4]

Pro-only tools NI names for GR7: Loop Machine Pro; Cabinet Impulse Response Loader (factory IRs from Bogren, Kohle/Eminence, Lancaster Audio, cabIR, 3 Sigma Audio); Ozone Maximizer (“Make an impact”). Over 100 new rack presets plus artist presets (Mike Shinoda, Serj Tankian, and others NI lists). Player’s page does not claim those extras inside Factory Selection.^[2]

When Free Player Is Enough. When Pro Is the Invoice.

Stay on Player if you need a free ICM amp + Jump, a modular rack, and the named Factory Selection effects—especially if Komplete Start is already on the machine. Pay Pro if you need the 26-amp list, the GR7 looper, third-party IR loader, Ozone Maximizer, or the new ICM pedals and lo-fi quartet. That is NI’s own upsell copy, not a tone-shootout score.^[1][2]

Skip a second Pro invoice if a Komplete bundle you already own includes Guitar Rig 7 Pro—confirm Native Access rather than this page. Skip this file entirely if you wanted a free-amp roundup or Komplete 26 tier math; those are related slugs.

FL, Ableton, Logic: One Pass on Player Before You Pay Pro

This checklist is a first insert of Player, not an amp-modelling course. Confirm Native Access 2 and the live comparison chart if a Component moved after this fetch.^[6]

1. Install Player via Native Access (or Komplete Start)
Player is free: 0. Start’s page: Native Access 2 required; no credit card. Confirm the Guitar Rig 7 Player licence in Native Access before you hunt a cracked installer.^[7][1]
2. Insert on a DI guitar or a synth bus
Load Fire Seeker or Jump with Matched Cabinet Pro. Add Skreamer or Red Fuzz, then Delay Man or Studio Reverb. That is Factory Selection, not Pro’s 26-amp list.^[1]
3. Check the comparison chart before you buy Pro
If you need Loop Machine Pro, the IR loader, Ozone Maximizer, or a named Pro amp/pedal, open the live chart and the Pro page. Confirm $199 / €199 / loyalty on the logged-in cart.^[2][3]
4. Stop before this page becomes an amp roundup
Once Player prints a usable chain, bounce. Free amp-sim lists, Analog Obsession, Saturn 2, and Komplete Start’s full inventory are related slugs—not this SKU split.

Amp Roundups and Komplete 26 Are Out of Scope

This article does not rank Guitar Rig against Neural DSP, Amplitube, or Tonex. It does not sell Komplete 26. It does not inventory Guitar Rig 7 LE row-by-row—that is the live comparison chart. Related slugs cover Komplete Start, free amp sims, Analog Obsession, Saturn 2, and free VST lists.

As of this September 2026 fetch, Player is still the free Factory Selection SKU and Pro’s shop card still printed $199 / €199. Recheck Native Access if you are reading this after a Komplete bundle change.^[1][3]
