DuckShift: Free Spectral Sidechain Ducking Plugin by Kajuby
Kajuby has released DuckShift, an advanced dynamic volume shaper designed for fast, clean mix separation. The software is available as a 100% free sidechain ducking plugin in 2026 for producers needing transparent low-end management or rhythmic pumping effects. You can download DuckShift directly from the Kajuby website without complex registration or license managers.
Flexible Ducking and Triggering Modes
Traditional sidechain compressors often struggle with precision or induce unwanted pumping across the entire frequency range. DuckShift tackles this by offering both traditional wideband ducking and an intelligent Smart Spectral Ducking mode. In spectral mode, the plugin only ducks the exact frequencies that clash with the incoming sidechain trigger, keeping your basslines deep and your kicks punchy without muddy masking.
Ducking shapes can be tailored using 16 customizable response curves ranging from smooth exponential fades to aggressive logarithmic drop-offs. DuckShift supports three distinct trigger modes to suit any production workflow:
- Sidechain Audio Input: Trigger gain reduction directly from an external kick, snare, or vocal track.
- MIDI Triggering: Fire ducking envelopes precisely on note-on events for complex rhythmic patterns.
- Host Sync / LFO: Run automated rhythmic pumping locked to your host tempo and meter.
