Colorfield Mix Stage Room Placement Plugin by Vitric Audio
Vitric Audio has released Colorfield Mix Stage, a spatial mixing plugin that allows producers to position all session tracks within a unified modeled acoustic room. The software is currently on sale for $29 (discounted from the regular $99 price tag) through November 19, 2026. Mix engineers seeking a free visual room placement plugin experience can also download an unrestricted 3-day trial directly from Vitric Audio.
Visual Stage Placement and Room Simulation
Rather than relying on separate reverb sends and complex panning configurations, Colorfield Mix Stage maps your tracks onto an interactive acoustic stage. Each track appears as an illuminated marker showing its physical position, distance in meters, and angle relative to the listener. The plugin includes six distinct modeled spaces ranging from tight tracking rooms and clubs to spacious concert halls.
Adjusting depth alters direct-to-room ratio, early reflection delays, and perceived tail length in real time. The plugin also provides an overhead Plan view to inspect track geometry and balance front-to-back perspective across dense arrangements.
Collision Detection and Format Support
A standout feature of Colorfield Mix Stage is its intelligent collision hints system. When two instruments occupy identical acoustic coordinates, the interface flags potential phase smearing and masking clashes, suggesting nearby stage coordinates to maintain separation. Each track inspector deck provides precise metrics for direct signal levels, first reflection times, and stereo angle.
System specifications and compatibility:
- Supported formats: VST3, AU, and AAX
- Standalone Stage app included for multi-track management
- OS requirements: macOS 10.15 or later (Apple Silicon native) and Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- 6 modeled environments including Studio, Club, and Concert Hall
- 14-day money-back guarantee on purchases
Colorfield Mix Stage is available directly from the developer for $29 until November 19, 2026, after which it will revert to its $99 MSRP. The 3-day evaluation gives you full access to all spatial features without initial payment.
