Vintage Boom Bap and Resampled Drum Breaks
Empire Breaks focuses heavily on the raw golden era of 1990s hip-hop rhythm sections. Native Instruments built the instrument by tracking acoustic drum kits, pressing the audio to vinyl, and resampling the results through vintage gear to impart authentic tape saturation and vinyl grit.
Key features include:
- 480 groove patterns across 30 curated sound presets
- Authentic vinyl-pressed drum kits, punchy kicks, and snappy snares
- Built-in macro controls for saturation, filtering, and room ambience
- Dedicated sequencing and layer editing tools
- Full compatibility with the free Kontakt Player and the full version of Kontakt
