Jimmy Combscanner Device [Max for Live]

COMBSCANNER is an Ableton Max4Live device created by JIMMY, using a new technique termed "SCAN Synthesis". The technique was discovered during research into simulating harmonic resonance feedback, primarily using crossfading multiplexers, sine tones & clip distortion. COMBSCANNER makes use of nested comb delays, giving an abrasive, grinding, metallic effect. SCAN synthesis opens up a domain of possibility when considering how to scan through the input array (eg LFO, automation, random). SCAN Synthesis is a microcosm of JIMMY's sound design style and is open source for any artist to iterate on.
