These shells blended hard and softer woods in persimmon and spruce, for thick attack and projection, with boosted warmth and tonality. Included in the DW Soundworks core library, these drums are well-suited for heavy metal and rock applications. All DW Soundworks samples are recorded straight from the factory in the highest level of audio fidelity. DW's collection of outboard gear includes best in class microphones, high-quality microphone preamplifiers (mic preamps), a variety of compressors and equalizers, and other tools which capture the genuine tonality of drums as they were meant to sound for an authentic audio experience. These HVLT™ shells were enveloped in a beautiful veneer of rare, quilted Maple, and laser-cut Rosewood 50th Anniversary badges and bands. To commemorate DW's golden anniversary, these drums are fitted with antique gold hardware.
