If you want to become a great rhythm guitarist, mastering the fretboard is non-negotiable. In Rhythm Guitarist Fretboard Roadmap, touring and session pro Tim Stewart gives you a practical, no-nonsense guide to understanding chord movement, voice leading, and fretboard navigation—tools that will instantly improve your rhythm playing across any genre. This course takes you beyond the usual shapes and barre chords by breaking down the relationships between chords, intervals, and positions. You'll learn how to build chord progressions that use common tones, explore the full range of chord inversions, and apply the CAGED system in a way that actually makes musical sense. Tim also shows you how to bring chords to life with embellishments like sevenths, suspended voicings, thirds, sixths, and tenths—all while staying rooted in groove. Once you've internalized the concepts, you'll lock it in with play-along backing tracks inspired by real-world styles. From Hendrix-style voice leading to old-school R&B, yacht rock, and '70s pop, each track gives you the chance to apply what you've learned in a musical, groove-oriented context.
