Trap music began in Hip Hop where rappers hailing from the southern United States would tell tales of a place called the "trap", aka the local drug spot. The signature sound of those songs by producers such as DJ Toomp, Shawty Redd, Drumma Boy and Zaytoven became known as Trap music. Fast forward 10+ years and Trap is the dominant force in Hip Hop and one of the driving forces in Pop culture today. All sounds have been processed by the latest top of the line Waves plug-ins for that album and radio-ready sound.
