Traxsource sells files to working DJs. The 2026 question is whether your house, afro, or tech master stays in the crate, and what badge a buyer sees before they pay — not whether Spotify pays a stream or Tidal zeros a royalty line. DJ Mag (23 June 2026) and MusicTech (24 June 2026) reported the same split: from 1 July 2026 Traxsource rolls out Human-Made and AI-Assisted labels, keeps removing fully AI-generated music, and updates its AI policy plus Terms of Service on that date.^[1][2] AIM’s briefing: labels let listeners choose; fully AI is flagged for removal, not hosted with a money freeze.^[3] A Suno stem over your drums and a one-prompt master are different products on this store.

February 2026: AI as a Tool Inside a Human Process Is OK

July implemented a February 2026 position MusicTech covered on 19 February: Traxsource accepts AI “as a production tool” to “assist within a larger human-driven creative process,” and draws a hard line that entirely AI-generated music “does not belong on Traxsource.”^[4] DJ Mag quotes the operational sentence: music created entirely through AI prompting, where no meaningful human creative contribution exists, does not belong. The community, they wrote, deserves to know the music they are buying, charting, and playing was made by real artists with real creative intent.^[1] They also refused fake certainty: 100% accurate detection is “not yet possible,” hybrid workflows make it nearly impossible, and “any platform claiming foolproof AI detection is overstating what the technology can currently deliver.” That is why July is labels plus a rebuttal desk, not a silent ban on every plugin that says “AI.”^[4]

From 1 July 2026: Two Labels, Two Detectors, One Removal Class

On 1 July 2026 the store starts tagging remaining catalog as Human-Made or AI-Assisted. Partners are SH Labs and SoundPatrol: flag fully AI-generated submissions for removal and supply data to classify everything else.^[2][3] Traxsource said it continues to remove fully AI-generated music daily. Content providers who think a track was mislabeled get a rebuttal process.^[2]

Brian Tappert (co-founder, managing director) framed it as living with AI while keeping value on human-created works. CTO Marc Pomeroy’s grocery-aisle line is the listener UX: conventional product next to certified organic, choice left to the consumer — technical means to uphold human artistry without stifling artists who push the technology envelope.^[1][2] AIM’s warning: detection reads the finished file, not the session. A detector cannot see that you wrote the lyrics or rebuilt the percussion bus. A human-led hybrid can still land in AI-Assisted; a false Fully-AI flag is what the rebuttal desk is for.^[3]

House, Afro, Tech: What Counts as Assisted vs Removal

Classify the master before you send the WAV. The February test is human vision, composition, and artistic direction. The July layer is a detector plus a label. Examples below are producer readings of that public split — not a Traxsource pre-clearance letter.

• Stem-separated vocal over your drums You programmed kick, percussion, and bass; an AI stem tool pulled a vocal you then arranged. Assisted bucket, not removal. Expect an AI-Assisted label, not a ban.
• Suno (or similar) top-line over your groove Your drums, your arrangement, a generated melody or vocal you chopped and mixed. Still a tool inside a human process. Not a prompt-to-master.
• AI mix, master, or cleanup only DJ Mag’s February recap names vocal processing and mastering as legitimate tool use when musical direction stays yours.^[1]
• Prompt-to-master, no human arrangement Text in, WAV out, maybe a fade. “Created entirely through AI prompting where no meaningful human creative contribution exists.” Removal.^[1]
• Someone else’s voice or style clone Not an “assisted” shortcut. Impersonation is a separate takedown class on most stores; Bandcamp bans it outright.^[7]

Afro house and 3-step records live on percussion language. If the human work is the groove and AI only sketched a topline you edited, you are in the tool lane. If the entire DJ mix is a model export, you are in the removal lane. Build drums from cleared one-shots first.

Store vs Store: Traxsource, Bandcamp, Beatport, Spotify

Do not copy-paste one “AI policy” across every store. Traxsource labels assisted music and removes fully AI. Bandcamp is a harder host ban for music generated wholly or in substantial part by AI. Beatport, as of its 11 August 2026 support page, refuses music wholly or substantially generated by AI, while saying it is not discouraging assistive mix, master, stem separation, or standard processing. Spotify is a DSP: licensed music is paid on engagement regardless of tools — not a DJ-store shelf tag.

Read the Beatport row as sourced August 2026 policy, not Traxsource with a different logo. Music Ally noted Beatport leaning toward Bandcamp’s “bar it” instinct for wholly or substantially generated music, while still allowing assistive tools.^[11] Traxsource’s distinctive move is the public Human-Made / AI-Assisted pair plus an explicit rebuttal.

Mislabels, Rebuttal, and What to Keep in the Session

MusicTech is explicit: Traxsource has a rebuttal process if a content provider thinks music was mislabeled.^[2] AIM’s process-gap is why you should assume you may need it. A detector that only hears the master cannot see your lyric doc, MIDI, or the night you rebuilt the percussion bus. Hybrid afro-house with a generated vocal chop can look “AI” in a spectrogram and still be a human record under the February pillars.^[3]

Export a dated project archive, keep dry drums separate from any generated stem, keep the prompt or stem-tool log, and keep a one-page note: what the human did, what the model did, who owns the vocal. That packet is for the rebuttal desk and for your label — not a guarantee. Traxsource already said foolproof detection does not exist; foolproof self-classification does not exist either.^[4] This is operational education, not legal advice. Ship Checklist Before You Send the WAV to Traxsource

1. Name the class: human-made, AI-assisted, or fully generated
   If a stranger would say the recording is the model’s output, Traxsource will too. If you directed composition, groove, and arrangement, you are in the tool lane even if a stem or topline is synthetic.
2. Do not send prompt-to-master DJ tools
   Fully AI is removal, not a marketing experiment. Traxsource said that class does not belong and continues daily takedowns.^[2]
3. Expect an AI-Assisted tag on hybrid vocals
   Stem-separated or Suno top-lines over your drums are the assisted example, not a ban. Plan the label into promo copy instead of fighting a listener-facing fact.
4. Keep drums, percussion, and arrangement human-led

5. Bag evidence before ingest
   Session, dry drums, stem log, and a short human-vs-tool note. Use them if SH Labs / SoundPatrol plus the store mislabel the file.
6. Map the other stores separately
   Bandcamp’s substantial-part ban is harder. Beatport’s August 2026 gate refuses wholly or substantially generated AI. Spotify royalties are not this shelf.
